Notes of Note from John F. Ince

DALLAS (The Borowitz Report) – The groundbreaking ceremony for a Presidential library would seem to be an unlikely venue for a former President to admit that he is a plagiarist, but that is precisely what George W. Bush did today.

On hand to break ground on the new Bush library at Southern Methodist University, Mr. Bush stunned the crowd by admitting that he had “kind of plagiarized the idea” for the war in Iraq from his father, George H.W. Bush.

“I guess I thought no one would notice, as long as it had a different ending,” chuckled Mr. Bush, who stood before a banner reading, “Omission Accomplished.”

Mr. Bush seemed to take his new notoriety as a plagiarist in stride, telling one reporter, “Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn.”
